The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) has changed procedures throughout the entire medical services industry, and transcription firms have not been exempt.
HIPAA places stringent requirements on medical service providers to maintain the confidentiality of patient records, and improve efficiency in health care administration.
ATS maintains privacy standards much higher than the minimum requirements currently in place under HIPAA, and we constantly strive to improve our safeguards and our quality of service.
